Ideas Festival to play a key role in 150th Anniversary Celebrations
The Ideas Festival is excited to announce that after careful consideration the Queensland Government has confirmed that it will move to 2009 to be part of Queensland’s 150th anniversary celebrations.
The Ideas Festival has a long history as the state’s foremost public vehicle to drive debate on the major issues and concerns that shape our lives as Queenslanders and citizens of the world. As the 150th anniversary celebrations in 2009 will be a time for reflection on our past and our future, it makes sense for the Ideas Festival to be part of this important milestone for Queensland.
The decision to change to date was made after careful consideration and in consultation with many of the festival’s key stakeholders who agreed it was in the best interest of delivering the best possible festival.
