Formerly he was a senior lecturer in the Griffith Law School and Director of the Governance and Regulation program within the Socio-Legal Research Centre, Griffith University.
Dr Geoff Airo-Farulla has been a member of the Social Security Appeals Tribunal and the Queensland Gaming Commission. For twelve years he was Chairperson of the Management Committee of the Prisoners’ Legal Service, a non-profit community organisation providing legal advice to prisoners and their families on matters relating to imprisonment.
He also for many years provided migration advice to refugees and others as a volunteer at South Brisbane Immigration and Community Legal Service. His recent publications include Administrative Agencies and Accountability in Paul Boreham, Geoffrey Stokes and Richard Hall (eds), The Politics of Australian Society: Political Issues for the New Century (2004).
